Maps
GIS stands for Geographic Information System and refers to a computer-based system that links spatial map features to data records, or attributes, stored in a database. This produces an "intelligent" map that allows you to find out more about the features on a map by accessing information from the database.

This site provides maps of the County of Peterborough in an Interactive GIS format that will allow you to customize the map to meet your own needs and in static formats that have already been prepared for a particular purpose.

The GIS Division is a corporate entity, responsible for the provision of hardcopy and web-based mapping services to County staff. Services are also provided to staff at local municipalities via tools designed for a web-based environment.

Although every attempt has been made to make sure that this data is accurate, the maps on this site may contain cartographic errors or omissions.

This publicly-accessible GIS site will allow you to locate municipal services, roads, natural and community resources.
