Step back in time at Lang Pioneer Village

Lang Pioneer Village Museum was established by the County of Peterborough in 1967 to celebrate and preserve the rural history of the area. Each year, thousands of visitors from around the world take a trip back in time to discover how the pioneers lived.

Waste Management provides waste reduction programs to County residents. These services include recycling, household hazardous waste collection, composting, electronic recycling, leaf and yard programs and a variety of special programs for schools, businesses, cottagers and County events.

Peterborough County/City Paramedics provides primary and advanced care Emergency Medical Services to residents and visitors throughout the County and City of Peterborough. The service is jointly funded by the County of Peterborough, City of Peterborough and the Province of Ontario through the Ministry of Health.
